Samantha Bernardo: ‘I know I did my best and I have lived up to my purpose’
Samantha Bernardo took to social media to express her thoughts after the 2020 Miss Grand International (MGI) pageant, where she finished first runner-up on Saturday night.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the beauty queen shared photos of her and her MGI sisters, saying “everyone deserves to be here.”
She also gave a special mention to Miss USA Abena Appiah, crowned MGI 2020, and mentioned social issues that should be addressed.
“I love you. You know that. I told you, we will be in Top 2!” she wrote in the caption.
According to the beauty queen, her main goal as the Philippines’ representative to the competition is to be a “symbol of hope, compassion and unity.”
“I know I did my best and I have lived up to my purpose. I hope I made you proud again Philippines. [It’s an honor, my beloved Philippines].”
