Dingdong PH helps deliver relief goods to visually-impaired and displaced Filipino workers
Dingdong Dantes' vision for his business Dingdong PH to be "human-centric" seems to be coming true!
On Instagram, the actor shared that they helped deliver relief goods to visually-impaired Filipino workers who have been displaced by the pandemic.
Buddhist charity organization Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines, in collaboration with SavePoint, partnered with Dingdong PH to deliver 20 kilograms of rice and grocery items to 32 visually-challenged individuals who lost their jobs as masseuse and therapists.
Dingdong said this was just the first batch.
"We expect more deliveries with them and for them in the future. This is our way of connecting communities with other communities, and empowering them by creating a society with 'professional malasakit,'" he wrote.
He added that their partner riders, who he "consider as among this nation’s economic frontliners," were also provided an additional source of income.
The Kapuso star officially launched his tech-solutions start-up Dingdong PH back in April.
Dingdong PH is a platform with three services including delivery, e-commerce, and marketplace.
At the launch, Dingdong said that he hopes to pay the kindness forward. —JCB, GMA News
