Inmates of Sorsogon City Jail sell handcrafted products online for extra income

Some inmates inside the Sorsogon City Jail have found a new way to earn extra income this Christmas.

As seen in an "Unang Balita" report on Wednesday, inmates were able to sell some of their handcrafted creations via live selling.

Products include handwoven abaca baskets, lampshades and Christmas lanterns.

Orders came in from different parts of the country while some products were set to be exported to Hawaii and New York.

According to jail management, the money earned through the liveselling would benefit the inmates of the Sorsogon City Jail and their families. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
