Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne tests positive for COVID-19
Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
On Saturday, Maureen shared the unfortunate news on Instagram.
"I’m currently in self isolation as I’ve tested positive for COVID this holiday season," she wrote in the caption of her post on Instagram.
In the location of her post, she tagged Arizona as her current location.
"It’s unfortunate that half way through my long awaited visit home I caught the virus but I’m happy was able to get tested early and my symptoms weren’t too bad," she added.
Maureen said, "I'm thankful I was fully vaccinated and encourage everyone to get vaccinated if you haven’t already."
Maureen also reminded her followers to get tested once they feel symptoms.
"If you think you might be positive too right now please get tested to make sure you’re not spreading the virus so we can take care of our family, friends, and coworkers alike," she wrote.
According to Maureen she had to move her international flight home until the end of the month.
Nevertheless, Maureen said she is "thankful I’m here safe and sound with my parents."
"I hope you’re all safe and healthy, I encourage everyone to continue following the safety protocols and to wear mask! We’ll get thru this together," she ended her note.
