Over 3,000 individuals aided by Kapuso Foundation amid Taal Volcano unrest
A total of 3,068 individuals affected by the recent phreatomagmatic burst at Taal Volcano have received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a “24 Oras” report Monday, under the foundation’s Operation Bayanihan project, residents of Agoncillo and Balete in Batangas received food packs, hygiene kits, and N95 masks.
But apart from food and medicine, evacuees are still in need of something to sleep on.
“Halos wala kaming higaan. Banig lang yung nakalatag sa sahig eh yung semento malamig,” said beneficiary Julia Guillermo, who had also evacuated from Batangas when the volcano erupted in January 2020.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
