'Paw-lengke' buddies: Dog in Batangas goes to market with owner
Not only their best friend but a pet dog in Sto. Tomas, Batangas proved to be its fur parents' perfect companion during their daily grocery shopping.
In Mark Salazar’s report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, James and Josephine Echona said their fur baby — Kobe the Golden Retriever — usually helps and carries their bag whenever they shop in the town market.
(Kobe and I are always together. It became my routine to tell him that we will shop and he knows what to do every time. He would get the shopping bag and ride the tricycle.)
James also said Kobe knows which tricycle they would ride to go home.
(It’s better to form a bond so you can get their attention. It’s also advisable to know their drive. For Kobe, it is affection.)
Saying it is a “life-long commitment”, James advised those who would want to own pets to become responsible fur parents and to extensively research before adopting animals.
“Owning a pet is a life-long commitment. Ang maa-advise ko talaga sa inyo is be responsible for parents. Dapat alam nyo needs ng aso mo. Ang warning ko naman bago kayo mag adopt, do your own research kasi every breed has its needs,” he said.
