Fur parent builds soundproof safe house for pets on New Year's Eve

With the loud sounds of firecrackers and other noises to welcome a brand new year, our fur friends can be quite stressed.

To keep her fur pets safe and sound this coming New Year's celebration, fur mom Kim Laurel made a DIY soundproof safe house.

How did she make it?

It's very simple. As seen in Dano Tingcungco's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, Kim used a playhouse and soundproof panels she bought online.

Using this, her pets can stay inside the safe house while the celebration is on going.

Fret not if it's too pricey and out of your budget, as you can use an anxiety wrap.

To do this, wrap your fur babies with a cloth to ease the tension and fear building up in their bodies. You can use simple shirts for this.

Another way to reduce their anxiety is by hugging them and playing music.

According to experts, take your pets in a walk or play with them before the New Year's celebration. This will help them to lie low and stay calm when the celebration starts.

You can also place your pets in a quiet room and play soft and calm music to relax their body.
