2024 hair trends: What does 'bronde' look like, and where can you get your hair done?

2024 hair trends: What does 'bronde' look like, and where can you get your hair done?

"Bronde," a combination of brown, bronze, and blonde, is the hair color trend predicted for 2024 by celebrity stylist Lourd Ramos.

Aside from this unique, low-maintenance color, another celebrity stylist, Mark Anthony Rosales, said 2024 is also the year of healthy hair.

But what does "Bronde" actually look like, and where can you get your hair done the healthier way?

For those living in Metro Manila, Ulo Salon, which hails originally from Siargao, is one of the few hair salons that champions organic and vegan hair products to produce one's desired hair look minus the harmful chemicals.

This writer asked Tish Mahtani, founder of Ulo Salon, to interpret how "Bronde" would translate in her hair using vegan and cruelty-free hair coloring products from Aveda.

According to Tish, her salon's market is those who are more concerned about their hair's health rather than just overall aesthetics.

"People come here looking for a healthier option for their hair. That's why we focus on treatments, on hair colors that would match their lifestyle," Tish told GMA News Online.

The hair coloring process, specifically for Bronde, took almost four hours, with bleaching being the most time-consuming.

Bleach, as it is, is a harmful ingredient for the hair. But Aveda's bleaching product, infused with plant oils and moisturizing ingredients, help lessen the damage.

After the bleach, putting highlights of browns, blondes, and bronzes into the hair followed, which took almost two hours.

For those who would like to give Bronde a try for a new look, you need to keep in mind that the color will vary depending on your hair's current color and health. But keeping that aside, it's a low-maintenance color you don't need to retouch as much.

As for the aftercare, try to avoid washing your hair for three days after your appointment to maintain the longevity of the color.

Ulo Salon's bespoke color and signature cut is priced at P8,550. You may book through Parlon.
