Miss Universe Philippines Quezon City has named its queen, and she is none other than Lorraine Ojimba of Barangay South Triangle.

Ahead of the final coronation, Lorraine was given the special awards Best in Swimsuit, Best Evening Gown and Light of Representation. She was crowned at the Quezon Ballroom of Seda Vertis North Hotel in Quezon City at the ceremony on February 5.

Cam Lagmay of Barangay Bagumbayan is the first runner-up, Nicole Lao of Barangay Don Manuel is the second runner-up, Marinella Catangay of Barangay Batasan Hills is the third runner-up, and Stef Monce of Bagong Pag-asa is the fourth runner-up.

Meanwhile, Jocelyn Cubales, who made history as a 69-year-old competitor, finished in the Top 10. The Barangay Baesa representative also won the special awards: Miss Anlene Total 10 and Light of Dreams.

In September last year, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit for candidates, allowing aspiring beauty queens over 28 years old to compete.

MUPH welcomed the move and said that it is a "move toward greater inclusivity and representation."

More provinces across the Philippines are set to hold their coronations soon.

The reigning Miss Universe Philippines is Sparkle actress Michelle Dee, who finished in the top 10 and won four special awards in the international pageant last year.
