Philippine bet Chantal Elise Schmidt wore a modern Filipiniana look for her Miss Eco International 2024 official interview.
On Instagram, the Filipina beauty queen shared snaps of herself taken in Hurghada City, Egypt. Chantal wore a dress by Filipina designer Mara Chua.
She said that she was going for a sweet and feminine style after reading comments from fans.
"Yes I listen," she wrote with a winking emoji.
Chantal completed her look with an Obra ni Juan bag.
"It fills me with so much price to be working with an organization that not only creates art, but protects artists from exploitation, too," she said.
"My grandfather and uncle used to come home from work with crops because of how many pro bono cases they took on for farmers. Now I get to continue this legacy with my own twist."
Chantal flew to Egypt last week. She is vying for the country's third Miss Eco International crown.
In 2018, Thia Thomalla won the country's first Miss Eco International title. Kathleen Paton gave the Philippines its second crown in 2022.
