Chito Miranda performs with complete Parokya ni Edgar lineup again: 'Sobrang special para sa amin'

Chito Miranda could not help but express his happiness at performing with the complete Parokya ni Edgar lineup again.

On Instagram, the vocalist shared a photo with drummer Dindin Moreno, bassist Buwi Meneses, and backing vocalist Vinci Montaner.

The complete lineup of the legendary OPM band had a gig at a bar in Quezon City.

"Sobrang sarap ng tugtugan namin kanina and sobrang special para sa amin na kumpleto kami, after everything that we've been through," Chito said in his caption. "It just felt so natural."

Chito shared that Buwi arrived from the US where he is based on the morning of the gig, and that it was Dindin's first performance after undergoing a major operation weeks ago.

"Si Vinch naman, tutugtog lang kung trip naya and s'yempre, si Gab [Chee Kee] na nagka-cancer a year ago," Chito added.

"Pero, after everything, and at the end of the day, solid pa rin kami," Chito said. "T------... Parokya kami eh."

Chito then shared a quote he has been known for saying, "Walang iwanan sa Parokya band."

Back in January, Parokya ni Edgar made fans happy with a photo of the complete members.

A jukebox musical featuring the band's songs, titled, "Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical" opens on April 26 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

The show is named after Parokya's debut album released in 1997. It is home to the OPM classics "Harana," "Silvertoes," "Sayang," and "Please Don't Touch My Birdie."

"Buruguduystunstugudunstuy" will have an all-female lead cast of Kyle Napuli, Marynor Madamesila, Tex de Leon, and Natasha Cabrera. It has the same creative team as "Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical."

The Parokya ni Edgar musical was first announced on July 23 during the final curtain call of "Ang Huling El Bimbo" at the Newport Performing Arts Theater last July. The cast sang "Harana." As they were performing, symbols flashed on the screen behind them, representing some of the band's top hits.
