Miss Universe Philippines 2024 announces streaming delay for prelims
The streaming for Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Preliminaries Gala Night will be delayed, the MUPH Organization announced on Monday.
Held on Sunday at The Manila Hotel, the prelims was originally scheduled to be streamed the following day at 6 p.m.
A few minutes before the stream is supposed to begin, however, MUPH said it will be moved to a later time.
"Even with enhanced capacity, our computers and hardware were not enough to handle almost 4 hours worth of footage, hence the delays," they said in a statement.
"Rest assured, you will still get to watch the Preliminaries tonight, and support your favorite delegate."
Earlier in the day, MUPH apologized for the "technical difficulties" they encountered while streaming the closed-door preliminary interviews of the candidates.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at the Mall of Asia Arena. Reigning queen Michelle Dee will crown her successor, who will represent the country in the international pageant in Mexico later this year.
