BABYMONSTER and TREASURE to drop new songs, albums this year
BABYMONSTER and TREASURE fans, you're in for a treat!
There are a lot of exciting things to look forward to from the South Korean girl group and boy band this year, thanks to a special announcement on social media by YG Entertainment's executive producer Yang Hyun Suk on May 20.
BABYMONSTER, the newest girl group under the record label and entertainment agency, is set to release its first full album around September or October, with a pre-release of one of the songs in the new album slated in early July.
A performance video for "Like That," a track in the girls' debut EP that was gifted by American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, will also be released this month.
Hyun Suk acknowledged that TREASURE will be busy with their Asia tour, but a short break has allowed the boys to work on new music.
TREASURE will be releasing the new digital single "King Kong" on May 28. The boy band's new album will also be released this fall, although Hyun Suk did not share details about the date.
The new tracks from the album will also be quite different from what TREASURE has released before, he added.
The boys are currently on their second Asia tour, "2024 TREASURE RELAY TOUR [REBOOT]," which kicked off this month in Manila about a year after the group's first "Hello" concert tour in the capital.
The "Reboot" tour spans five cities, including Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.
