Who is Cyrille Payumo? 5 facts about the new Miss Charm Philippines
Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga, now known as the new Miss Charm Philippines, is proof that dreams do come true when you persevere.
Cyrille is one of the new queens crowned at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant on Wednesday, but she is actually a pageant veteran who has been competing in both small and national pageants since 2017.
Here are five fun facts about Cyrille, the new Miss Charm Philippines!
1. Cyrille advocates for Aetas
Cyrille’s advocacy centers around the Aeta community in Pampanga.
The beauty queen shared on Instagram that she visits the community and participates in outreach activities for their benefit.
Cyrille also said on Instagram that she wants to be a voice for the Aeta people as they deserve equal opportunities for quality education, employment, and access to resources.
2. She was previously crowned Miss Tourism International 2019 by the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant
Before she was named Miss Charm Philippines, the Pampanga beauty was crowned Miss Tourism International by the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant in 2019.
However, Cyrille was not able to make the most of her reign because of the pandemic in 2020.
3. Cyrille competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2022
Cyrille competed in a major pageant in 2022, none other than Binibining Pilipinas.
She was among the top 40 beauties who competed. Cyrille was unable to land a place in the pageant, which was later won by Nicole Borromeo.
4. Pia Wurtzbach is her inspiration
Cyrille looks up to another pageant veteran who is now out living her dreams, Pia Wurtzbach.
Cyrille said that she is inspired by Pia’s “determination and the way she empowers everyone.”
The two were also able to meet at a Binibining Pilipinas event in 2022
5. She is a fur mom
When she’s not working in pageantry, Cyrille is a loving fur mom of two of the most adorable and fluffy dogs.
