New 'The Hunger Games' novel by Suzanne Collins to be released in March 2025

Suzanne Collins is set to release a new "The Hunger Games" novel on March 18, 2025!

The official Instagram of the book series made the announcement on Thursday, revealing the novel's title to be "Sunrise on the Reaping."

The final book cover is yet to be unveiled.

"Sunrise on the Reaping will revisit the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell," the announcement read.

"The Hunger Games" series is composed of three novels: "The Hunger Games" released in 2008, "Catching Fire" in 2009, and "Mockingjay" in 2010.

The trilogy was adapted into four films, with "Mockingjay" split into two movies.

In 2020, Collins dropped a prequel novel, "A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," set 64 years before the first book. It was adapted into a film last year.

"The Hunger Games" is set in dystopian world where children are selected to participated in a televised battle royale. It follows a teenager named Katniss Everdeen, who was played by Jennifer Lawrence in the films.
