Heart Evangelista on friendship breakups: ‘You also have to forgive yourself’

Heart Evangelista said moving on from friendship breakups has made her tougher.

In an interview with GMA News Online, the Global Fashion Icon admitted that moving on takes time, whether in romantic relationships or friendships.

“I don’t consider myself as always kind,” Heart said.

“There were moments that I really toughened up [when moving on], but I think that’s survival in a sense,” she added.

The Kapuso artist also said she makes sure to heal holistically after breakups.

“I make sure that I heal even the flaws that I committed towards myself that affect other people, and I take that to heart, but it takes time,” she said.

“You also have to forgive yourself for feeling like you didn’t do more or didn’t give enough,” she added.

In February, Heart opened up about finding it hard to find real friends in the show business and fashion industry after revealing last year that her friends betrayed her.

In July, Heart renewed her contract with GMA Network.

In the same month, Heart attended the GMA Gala 2024 with her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero.

Along with the senator, Heart also graced the third State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.
