What is Maria Ozawa's type in men? Actress answers


Maria Ozawa just made her first appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda!"

On Wednesday's episode, the Japanese-Canadian actress shared some interesting details about herself, including her type when it comes to men.

According to Maria, she prefers a man who understands when women want to be independent and someone who's not too conservative.

"Well, it's our culture, so I don't want to say anything against it, but, you know, women [are] just supposed to be housewives [in Japan]. They should stay at home. And those kind of mindset is OK because that's their culture. I don't mind at all," she said.

"But for me, I want somebody who'll be supportive with me," she added.

Maria currently stars in "Pulang Araw" as Haruka Tanaka, the mom of Hiroshi Tanaka, played by David Licauco.

The series traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends, Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David), and Eduardo (Alden Richards), before and during World War II.

The main antagonist of the series is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo. He is a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." The show is also streaming on Netflix.
