Ahtisa Manalo on Miss Universe Philippines 2025 fall: 'I just wanted to get up'

Ahtisa Manalo made quite a statement with how she stood back up after she falling down during the evening gown competition of the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 on Friday.

On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the beauty queen looked back on that very moment.

"There were stairs and I think the dulo of the gown flipped and then got caught on my heel," Ahtisa recalled, adding that she still had the bruise from that fall.

"The moment I fell, I just wanted to get up. I knew I didn't wanna be there for like a [long time]. I just wanted to get up as fast as I could," she said.

Ahtisa was crowned the Miss Universe Philippines 2025. She represented her hometown Quezon Province.

She will represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2025, which will take place on November 21 at the Impact Muong Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
