Habagat in July 2025: Here's where you can send monetary, in-kind donations

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) has been devastating areas in Metro Manila and other regions of Visayas and Mindanao with heavy rains causing massive flooding.

According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development on Tuesday, more than 490,000 families have been affected by the bad weather brought by Habagat.

Six people were reported dead due to Tropical Cyclone Crising, the Habagat, and the low pressure area (LPA), with three of the reported dead located in Northern Mindanao and one each in Mimaropa, Davao Region, and Caraga.

As of PAGASA's 2 p.m. update on Tuesday, the LPA they've been monitoring east of Auroa has since  developed into Tropical Depression Dante

For those interested in helping, here's where you can send cash and in-kind donations for those affected by the heavy rains. 

GMA Kapuso Foundation

The GMA Kapuso Foundation has begun its relief operations for the victims of Habagat.

You may send your donations via Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, Lazada, Globe Rewards, and Metrobank Credit Card. Donations are 100% tax deductible.

Angat Buhay

The Angat Buhay foundation's relief operations are currently ongoing in Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Pasig, Marikina, Bulacan, Taytay, and Rizal.

Those who wish to donate may do so via GCash and bank transfer

Caritas Manila

Charity organization Caritas Manila has launched a donation drive for those affected by flooding brought about by Habagat.

Those interested in supporting their initiative may contact them via 0967 276 4806 or send a message on Caritas Manila's Facebook page.

SIKAD

SIKAD, a cultural organization advocating for urban poor rights, calls for monetary and in-kind donations for communities affected by Tropical Cyclone Crising and Habagat.

Those who want to give in-kind donations can drop them off at 12-A Kasiyahan St., Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. You may also send monetary donations via GCash: 0908 706 7927 and note "Crising."

UP Manila University Student Council

The Student Council of the University of the Philippines - Manila is accepting donations for UP students in need and disaster-stricken communities.

Those who want to give in-kind donations can drop them off at UP Manila USC Office, 4F Joaquin Gonzales Building, Padre Faura St., Ermita, Manila.

You may also send monetary donations via GCash: 0921 768 6992 and note "for donations."

Adamson University

Adamson University has also launched a call for donations for those affected by Crising and the Habagat. 

Monetary donations may be made through GCash or bank transfer. In-kind donations, such as ready-to-eat food, water, clothes, blankets, and toiletries, may be dropped off at the ICES Office, SV Building at 900 San Marcelino Street, Ermita, Manila.

Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society has also launched its relief operations to help animals and families affected by the heavy rains. 

Monetary donations may be made through bank transfer and GCash. 

In-knd donations, such as dog and cat food, collapsible cages and crates, canned goods for humans, and rice may be dropped off to the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center, Aurora Boulevard cor. Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights in Quezon City.

Angat Bayanihan via Mika Salamanca

Mika Salamanca has launched a donation drive in collaboration with Angat Bayanihan to lend a helping hand to those affected by the heavy rains and flooding.

Monetary donations will help mobilize a team to provide hot meals to victims in different parts of Metro Manila.

For those who wish to donate, you may do so via Maya and bank transfer.

Community Pantry

Community Pantry organizer Patricia "Patreng" Non is calling for monetary donations to help mobilize community-led relief operations in Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon City, Pasig, Manila, Paranaque, Muntinlupa, Las Pinas, Marikina, Caloocan, and Valenzuela.

Those who wish to donate may do so via GCash.

GBayanihan 

A platform within GCash, GBayanhiyan brings together different humanitarian organizations and donors that respond to disasters as a digital community, including UNICEF and Save the Children to name a few. Users can choose their preferred organization and directly send their donations by way of GCash.

While GCash assures donors that the platform adheres to the highest standards of transparency, ensuring contributions go directly to their preferred and verified NGO partners, it also cautions users to exercise vigilance and only scan verified QR codes, or use the GBayanihan feature directly.
