Julia Barretto, Gerald Anderson have broken up

Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson have broken up.

It was confirmed by Star Magic, which released a statement Thursday saying the two “have mutually decided to end their relationship.”

“We request the public to respect their decision and refrain from spreading false narratives,” the statement read.

“Gerald and Julia are grateful to their fans and friends for the love and support,” they added.

Meanwhile, Viva Artists Agency also released as a statement for their talent, Julia, confirming the news and saying "the two have mutually and amicably parted ways for some time now."

"The circulating speculations in recent weeks regarding the reason for their breakup are unfounded and baseless," Viva added.

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2021, two years after they both denied Julia's involvement in Gerald and Bea Alonzo's breakup in 2019.

In June, Gerald shut down breakup rumors with Julia, saying “we’re okay.”

In 2024, Julia opened up about "taking accountability" following the Bea-Gerald controversy, saying, "you have to take accountability for, anong naging role mo sa chaos na 'yun." — LA, GMA Integrated News
