Spotify rolls out upgrades for its free users

Spotify is enhancing the listening experience for its free users at no additional cost.

The music streaming platform announced earlier this month that its free users now have access to features like Pick & Play, Search & Play, and Share & Play, which were previously exclusive to premium subscribers.

Here's a rundown of what these new features mean:

• Pick & Play: Free users can now search for any song and hit play instantly.
• Search & Play: Free users can type in the name of any song, artist, or album and start listening right away.
• Share & Play: With the new Share & Play feature, free users can quickly tap and listen to tracks shared by friends or artists on social media.

In addition to these features, free users now also have access to song lyrics for tracks they're listening to, as well as Daylist, a feature that generates playlists tailored to one's listening habits throughout the day.
