'Green Bones,' 'Firefly' shortlisted at 7th ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards
Seven Filipino films have been shortlisted at the 7th ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA)!
According to a post by GMA Pictures, Zig Dulay's award-winning films "Green Bones" and "Firefly" were among the films that are set to be screened in the festival.
Other Filipino films in the list are Sheron Dayoc's "The Gospel of the Beast," Dominic Bekaert's "An Errand," Louie Ignacio's "Avenida," Petersen Vargas' "Some Nights I Feel Like Walking," and Derick Cabrido's "Mallari."
The festival will run from Nov. 12 to 15 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia and will feature more than 200 entries.
Now in its 7th year, AIFFA celebrates the best in Southeast Asian cinema, recognizing excellence, creativity, and storytelling that inspire audiences across the region.
An entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), "Firefly" won the Best Picture and Best Child Actor for Euwenn Mikaell.
Meanwhile, "Green Bones" was an entry at the 2024 MMFF where it reaped several awards, including the Best Picture, Best Actor for Dennis Trillo and Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid.
