Kapuso Fest: Discounted luggage, hotels, airlines, and more part of travel and lifestyle fair
The first Kapuso Fest: Travel and Lifestyle Fair was an experience not to be missed for GMA Network employees, who were treated to discounts and promos.
From October 16 to 17, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, tech, and various lifestyle brands set up their booths at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City and treated employees to special offers.
The project is organized by Corporate Affairs and Communications and SAMD as part of the network’s 75th anniversary celebration.
Travel agencies like Adventure International Tours and Golden Eagle shared their rates for visa applications and tour packages. Airlines like Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines invited employees to fly with them soon. Hotels such as Solaire Resort North and Astoria offered exciting features that would make Kapuso want to check in.
The fair also featured car brands like BMW and BYD, plus lifestyle products from Birkenstock and Pacsafe. Travel Time offered luggages up to 60% off.
Angel Javier Cruz, GMA Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications, told GMA News Online, “For the first time, we are bringing together travel and lifestyle essentials—from automobiles, airlines, and hotels to tech partners and everyday brands. We are grateful to GMA management for making this fair possible, as it serves as a special gift to our Kapuso in this milestone anniversary year.”
Vicky T. Arradaza, SAMD Consultant, added, "You’ll find everything in one spot—future trips and treats, pero dito mismo sa Kapuso grounds. It reflects how we value both our long-time partners and our very own employees and artists."
Meanwhile, Kapuso artists Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar were among those who enjoyed going around the booths and shopping.
“Ang saya na may mga ganitong pangyayari at ganap ganap sa workplace, maiba naman ‘yung dynamic,” Chariz said.
Buboy added, “Hindi lang tayo, pati mga staff ng GMA, nag-e-enjoy din sila eh. Hindi lang puro work, na-ba-balance eh.” —JCB, GMA Integrated News
