SB19, Aruma tug at heartstrings with 'MAPA' music video

SB19 and Aruma just released the music video for the Indonesian version of "Mapa," and it proved that appreciation for family bonds transcends cultures.

The music video opens with a man flipping through a photo album, triggering memories of his childhood with his parents.

It then transitions into a series of flashbacks such as joyful family meals, heartfelt bonding moments, and the bittersweet day he left home for college.

As the song unfolds, it culminates in a touching scene where the man, now successful, shares a comfortable life with his parents, finally fulfilling the dreams they once held together.

SB19 and Aruma released the Indonesian version of "Mapa" in July.

"Mapa" is one of the tracks in SB19's 2021 EP, "Pagsibol." An anthem for parents, it has been played at graduations and was used in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 film "And the Breadwinner Is..."

The P-pop recently bagged six wins including Artist of the Year at the first-ever Filipino Music Awards.

Meanwhile, Aruma is a pop-folk artist in Indonesia. Her popular songs include "Muak" and "Ekspektasi."
