Ruffa Gutierrez 'one step closer' to master's degree as she successfully defends thesis proposal
Ruffa Gutierrez is one step closer to obtaining her master’s degree.
The 51-year-old celebrity took to Instagram to share that she has successfully defended her thesis proposal at the Philippine Women’s University (PWU) in Manila.
“I’m living proof that balancing work, family, and school is not easy, but it is worth every moment,” she wrote.
“This journey continues to remind me that it’s never too late to chase your dreams and finish what you started,” she added.
Ruffa also said that “growth doesn’t stop” regardless of your age or “the season you’re in.”
“I’m proud of myself for choosing to learn again, to challenge myself, and to keep evolving,” she said.
She ended her post on an inspirational note, telling those who feel like it’s too late to chase their dreams, “You’ve got this.”
In December 2025, Ruffa announced that she had gone back to PWU to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Arts.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at PWU in 2022 at the age of 48.
In 2024, Ruffa expressed hope that women, including her daughters, Lorin and Venice, would find inspiration in her story.
