Gabbi Carballo wins Evening Wear Top Model award at Miss Eco International 2026 preliminary competition

Gabbi Carballo won the Evening Wear Top Model award during the preliminary competition of Miss Eco International 2026.

“Grace and undeniable stage presence—Gabbi truly shined as she proudly represented the Philippines on the international stage,” The Miss Philippines said on Instagram.

The Philippines’ bet triumphed in her emerald green evening gown inspired by the Licuala palm, created by Cebuano designer Philipp Tampus.

Filipina beauty queen Alexie Brooks, the reigning Miss Eco International, was the one who handed Gabbi the award.

In a separate Instagram post, Gabbi shared the inspiration behind her striking gown.

“Inspired by the flowing layers of Licuala leaves, this gown symbolizes the harmony between femininity and the natural world, reflecting the rich biodiversity and tropical spirit of the Philippines,” she said.

“Just like the Licuala palm that thrives with quiet strength, I step into the Miss Eco International 2026 journey carrying a deeper purpose: to celebrate beauty that protects, empowers, and grows in harmony with our planet,” she added.

She previously wore a Sinulog-inspired outfit for the Carnival Costume competition of the pageant.

Gabbi arrived in Alexandria, Egypt, in mid-May for the Miss Eco International 2026 pageant.

The 2026 edition of Miss Eco International will run until May 23.

Gabbi is eyeing a back-to-back Miss Eco International win for the Philippines after Alexie Brooks won the 2025 title.

In a previous interview with GMA News Online, Gabbi said that she doesn't feel pressured.

"For me, I think pressure comes when you don't understand your responsibility. And for me, I understand my responsibility very well. I know that I have people to inspire. I know that I do have a wonderful queen to follow up," she said.
