Maki's 'Habangbuhay Pansamantala' music video features SB19's Justin, animated scenes from Pinoy artists
Maki's music video for "Habangbuhay Pansamantala" featured SB19 member Justin and animated scenes from Filipino artists.
The five-minute video starts with Maki leaving school after news reports of a "pink cosmic anomaly," "mysterious nebula," and "severe weather conditions." Outside, tires, branches, and other debris are floating up and the sky slowly turns pink.
Maki sees something up the sky and he is swallowed up by a pink light.
The scene fades to white, then cuts to SB19's Justin riding a red bicycle. He accidentally hits Maki, who is walking down the road, and leaves a pink stain on his uniform.
The music video then shows animated scenes in different art styles showing kilig moments of other couples, including a pair that looks like BINI's Maloi and Maki. Maloi was previously featured in Maki's "Dilaw" music video.
Eventually, the kilig moments turn into sad moments between the couples.
On X (formerly Twitter), Maki said that no AI was used and reposted messages from the artists who drew and animated the scenes.
The music video also includes a post-credit scene: Maki is seen walking towards Justin, who portrays an angel.
Maki, who has songs with colors as their titles, previously called "Habangbuhay Pansamantala" as the "pink song." He also said it's the softest song he has ever written.
The OPM artist has a few events lined up for his fans. One is called the Pink Fest, which will be held on May 29 at Trinoma in Quezon City.
Pink Room, meanwhile, is an exclusive send-off fan meet that will be held on June 5 at Solaire Resort North, also in Quezon City.
He is set to bring his "Kolorcoaster" shows to Singapore and Indonesia in June.
