Palawan's Angelica Lopez is Reina Filipinas - Grand International 2026!
Angelica Lopez of Palawan has been crowned Reina Filipinas - Grand International 2026 during the inaugural Reina Filipinas pageant on Friday night at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.
She bested 20 other candidates to claim the title and will represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Grand International (MGI) competition.
During the question-and-answer portion, Angelica was asked, "There are undeniably so many pageants already. What space do you hope Reina Filipinas would occupy?"
"I understand that every pageant serves a purpose, and so do Reina Filipinas. Here, they have business, which gives the women the opportunity to learn new skills, and to be more empowered, and to elevate as a person, whether it be in sports, entertainment, and business. It's actually a good and empowering platform and a win-win situation for all, so that both can move ahead towards the direction of progress, development, and productivity," she answered.
Meanwhile, Anne Patricia Diaz of Tondo, Manila and Alexie Caimoso Brooks of Iloilo City were crowned Reina Filipinas - MGI All Stars.
Anne and Alexie will represent the country at the second edition of the MGI All Stars pageant.
Reina Filipinas was launched in June under the leadership of Jojo Bragais, founder of the footwear brand known for being used by major local and international pageants.
The inaugural edition featured a total of 21 candidates vying for the Reina Filipinas - Grand International and Reina Filipinas - MGI All Stars titles.
