Who is Angelica Lopez? 5 things about Reina Filipinas-Grand International 2026
Angelica Lopez has added another pageant title to her resume after being crowned the inaugural Reina Filipinas-Grand International on Friday night.
The newly launched pageant, spearheaded by Jojo Bragais, featured 21 candidates competing for new titles.
As she begins her reign, here are five things to know about Angelica:
1. She previously represented the Philippines at Miss International 2024
Angelica has already represented the Philippines on the international pageant stage.
She competed at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, but did not advance to the Top 20.
2. She was Miss Asia Global 2022 first runner-up
Before competing at Miss International, Angelica joined Miss Asia Global 2022, where she finished as the first runner-up.
Her experience in the competition added to her growing pageant resume.
3. She studied Psychology
Angelica took up Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the Palawan State University.
She also has a nod to her field of study on her Instagram bio, which simply reads: “Psych.”
4. She proudly embraces her morena beauty
Angelica has openly shared her journey towards embracing her skin tone and body type.
In an Instagram post, she reflected on how she used to doubt her own beauty, particularly because of her skin color.
“I used to doubt my own beauty, especially my skin colour, and now I am finally enjoying every moment of it; inspiring and empowering other morena/dark girls to not be ashamed of what skin colour and what body type they have,” she wrote.
5. She is musically inclined
Angelica also has a talent for music.
In an Instagram post, she shared a photo of herself playing the guitar and singing during a talent competition.
