Robb Guinto confirms breakup with Yasser Marta: ‘All I needed was his support’

Robb Guinto and Yasser Marta have broken up.

Robb confirmed the news via a Facebook Reel posted on Monday, saying she was hurt by how their personal issues became public.

“I honestly don't know why I'm speaking. It's not to clear my name or what, but I saw my reputation is being ruined,” she said in Filipino.

“It just hurts because I'm not the only one affected. My parents and relatives are affected, too,” she added.

According to the actress, she felt that Yasser should have spoken to her first before discussing their relationship publicly.

“Before he said anything in public, he should have talked to me first. He should have considered my feelings because that's how it should be when you're in a relationship,” she said.

She added that she had hoped the Sparkle actor would reach out to her after his interview to explain his side and try to resolve their problems privately.

"If only he had come to me and said, ‘Love, I’m sorry. I'm sorry, I couldn’t help it, I ended up revealing our problem in public. Can we talk?’” Robb said.

“I wish that’s what I had heard. That we had worked things out. That so many other people hadn’t gotten involved. This should have been just between the two of us."

Robb also addressed accusations and speculation surrounding their relationship, saying she has been affected by comments questioning her loyalty.

“I've been affected. I'm hurt. Even if I know that those things aren't true, it still hurts,” she said.

She explained that she has been dealing with work, family responsibilities and a business, which she said she was also building for their future.

“He knows that I have a lot of responsibilities. I have a family to support, I pay for the house and the car, and I have bills. Now I'm also building a business,” she said.

Robb said she had previously told Yasser that she would be busy and asked for his patience and understanding.

“All I needed was his support. All I needed was his understanding. Why couldn't he give me that?” she said.

Denies cheating

Robb maintained that her busy schedule and lack of constant updates did not mean she was being unfaithful.

“I wasn't cheating on him. I wasn't doing this for myself. I was doing it for us,” she said.

Robb also questioned why Yasser discussed their relationship publicly after they had allegedly already broken up privately.

“Before he did the interview, he broke up with me. He already thanked me and said goodbye. Then he would say in the interview that we're still together?” she said.

According to Robb, Yasser could have talked to her parents if he wanted to fix their relationship, instead of airing his sentiments in an interview.

“If you respect me, if you love me, and if you’re willing to fix this, you wouldn’t give an interview. You wouldn’t air out the problem. You wouldn’t go public with it; instead, you’d message me directly,” she said.

"If not me, then my parents. If you want to send a message, if you want to get back together with me, message my parents. They are the ones you should be convincing to talk to me about taking you back.”

In September, Yasser guested on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” where he turned emotional while talking about his relationship with Robb.

He said that they are going through something but confirmed that they are still together.

Following his interview, Robb took to Instagram Stories to address speculations about their relationship.

"We are going through something right now, and I believe some things are better handled privately," she said.

"I don't want to speak badly about anyone or disclose private matters just to defend myself. I just hope people can give us the space and respect we need," she added. "Thank you to those who choose kindness."

Yasser and Robb confirmed their relationship in March. They met while working on a film together.
