Rere Madrid marks son's first month, shares motherhood journey

Rere Madrid marked her first month as a mother as she shared a heartfelt message for her baby boy, Atlas.

“One month of being your mama, and I’m loving every moment I spend with you. Our first week together was hard. Recovering from a C-section was difficult, especially knowing that I still couldn’t take care of you full-time the way I wanted to,” Rere said in Filipino and English in a Facebook post.

She said she knew she had to prioritize her recovery so she could eventually take care of Atlas.

“Thank you for staying by my side every day, during the days when I was sad, happy, and extremely tired. You remind me to be strong, to keep fighting and to keep going no matter how much I’m going through, physically and emotionally, I’m okay with all of it,” Rere said.

Rere also called her little one her “everything.”

“You give me the strength to get through everything. Mommy is still healing, still learning and still adjusting, but one thing will never change: I will always do my best for you,” she said.

“I love you so much, Atlas, with all my heart. Happy one month of being together. From my womb to my arms, you will always be my greatest blessing.”

Rere and Kai Sotto tied the knot at Neri's Secret Garden in Alfonso, Cavite, in late May.

In June, they revealed they were expecting their first child, and a month later, they revealed they were having a baby boy.

The couple welcomed Atlas in September.
