PMA topnotcher marries girlfriend after grad rites

March 18 is a big day in the life of Cadet 1st Class Jaywardene Galilea Hontoria, for two very special reasons.

First, he graduated from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) at the top of his class.

Then, right after the graduation ceremonies, he tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend.

Hontoria and his bride Loura Fe said their I do's on the PMA campus in Baguio City.

A registered nurse from Pavia, Iloilo, Hontoria, 25, was awarded a certificate of ownership of one unit of house and lot in his hometown for coming in first in his class.

He was also awarded by President Rodrigo Duterte the Presidential Saber for topping the Military President's List of Class 2018. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
