Saab Magalona honors Baby Luna with Memorial Fund

The playroom at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center has been renamed the Luna Isabel Magalona Bacarro playroom after Saab Magalona's late daughter.

The Cheats vocalist, her husband Jim, and their families started the Luna Isabel Magalona-Bacarro Memorial Fund and launched its first project with Kythe Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to "improve the quality of life among hospitalized children with cancer and other chronic illness."

On Instagram, Kythe posted a photo of the Magalonas, Bacarros, and said, "From this day on, Luna Isabel’s laughter will be heard from all the children who enter the playroom.”

Said Saab, “the fund will help pay for the staff and materials to make sure the children get ample play time.”

Saab was pregnant with twins. In March, she shared the heartbreaking story of losing her baby girl. Luna was the baby girl who died at birth. Saab and her baby boy, Pancho struggled at first, having stayed in the ICU, but are now doing fine.

In her post, Saab said people are welcome to do their good deeds by volunteer at the playroom and/or donate to the Luna Memorial Fund. — LA, GMA News
