Sonny Angara pays tribute to dad Edgardo: ‘Pa, this is our first Father's Day without you’
Senator Sonny Angara ahead of Father's Day posted on Facebook a video honoring his late father Edgardo Angara.
The elder Angara passed away on May 13 and the younger Angara said that the loss is tangible as he and his family celebrate the first father's day without his calls or "pangungulit."
Through various clips, Angara highlighted his father's life as a public servant and family man.
The younger Angara painted a portrait of a tough but supportive father who sought to bring the best out of his children.
"Millions have you to thank for making ther lives better. For the invaluable service you offered, the country can only be grateful," Angara said, "But while you held the nation's hand through very trying times, I will always remember how you held my hand when I was child."
Although Edgardo Angara wore many hats in his life, for his son, the most important role he assumed was that of a great father and grandfather. — Aya Tantiangco, GMA News
