Chesca Kramer pulls off surprise 10th year celebration for Doug

Doug Kramer had been planning to surprise his wife Chesca on the occasion of their 10th year anniversary. But little did he know, Chesca has been doing the same — in a larger scale that involved renewal of vows.  

On Instagram, Doug shared how they were supposed to celebrate their 10th year in Boracay, Tagaytay and Baguio but nothing has worked out. They agreed to "celebrate it sometime summer next year in the new house" instead.

"But my wife had other plans, I thought I was coordinating a mini surprise for her today and give a ring to symbolize our 10th yr while having dinner with the family with a band playing. But again, the surprise was on me! All my loved ones were here! Crazy day! I love you so much honey, I also know how much this 10th yr means to you!"

In a video posted by Team Kramer on Facebook, Chesca said since it's always been Doug who plans surprises so "this time around, it's my surprise for you. Happy anniversary honey," Chesca told Doug in the video followed by their kids Kendra, Scarlet and Gavin greeting their dad.

"You made all of this, so you thinking I did the surprise, you did this?," Doug said before giving Cheska a sweet kiss on the lips.

A day after the surprise, Chesca posted snapshots of the event and in the caption, narrated how it's been hard for her to keep the surprise from Doug who she plans everything with.

I woke up today feeling like a newly married woman. I still can't believe that we were able to pull-off yesterday's surprise renewal without Doug knowing. It's been so hard to keep my mouth shut about this whole thing. At times, I would catch myself about to blurt out my excitement over our renewal and remember that he is not part of the planning.  I do everything with Doug and to not have him around to plan this with me is very unusual. I have never surprised Doug before, he always does that.

Chesca planned the surprise in just 10 days and got help from wedding planner Teena Barretto and event stylist Jo Calravall. Photographer Pat Dy and Tree House Story took care documenting the event.

Chesca also surprised Doug with a performance from Side A vocalist Joey Genoroso on their special day.
