LJ Reyes sympathizes with fellow moms who feel the 'mom-guilt'

LJ Reyes took to Instagram to sympathize with fellow mothers who feel the "mom-guilt" whenever they try and have their "me time."

On Instagram, LJ posted a photo of herself all dolled-up, a baby towel on her shoulder as she carried three-month old Baby Summer.

In the caption she admitted she hasn't had time to pamper herself since giving birth.

"Simula nung nag-leave ako sa work at pinanganak ko si Summer, mangilan-ngilan lang yung beses na nakapag-ayos ako ng sarili nang ganito. Pakiramdam ko at that moment meron akong “me time” hahaha! Pero nasa kwarto lang naman siya!" LJ wrote in the caption.

LJ said feeling the "mom-guilt" — when mothers give themselves time to freshen up — won't ever go away, but she believes they should learn how to live with it.

"Alam ko a lot of mommies feel the “mom-guilt” pag binibigyan natin ng oras and care ang sarili natin. It’s definitely a struggle! Sabi ko nga it never goes away. Parang you just learn to live with it dahil importante rin naman yun para buo tayo at masaya! Kaya sobrang nage-enjoy ako na hands on ako kay Summer ngayon. Bilis kasi ng oras!"

Despite having little moments of "me time" here and there, the Kapuso actor said she will be willing to sacrifice that for her children Baby Summer and Aki.

"At sa totoo lang, I would always give up 'me time' para kay Summer at Aki. I would give up anything for them! Kita niyo... pati sa picture for my makeup artist, kasama ko siya! May lampin pa! Saludo talaga ako sa mga nanay!" — LA, GMA News
