How the Avengers assembled this cute couple

Everyone is stoked about Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters, but some true-blooded Marvel fans took it up a notch by showing up in costume and channeling the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

In an episode of GMA's Stand for Truth, Marco Mañalac was waiting to see the last Avengers movie in Pasig City with his real-life Captain Marvel, Ber Reyes, who was dressed head-to-toe as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most powerful heroine.

"I really love the stories, and I really love na tinuturuan tayo na kahit anong mangyari, kahit sobrang mukhang hindi na posible yung laban, kailangan lumaban pa rin tayo," Ber says.

It was impossible for the couple to miss the screening of Endgame, especially since it was the Avengers fandom that brought them together.

"Actually nag-start sa work, we were giving each other mga mixtapes, mga albums. So what she gave me was the first original mixtape ng Guardians of the Galaxy and, in return, I gave her a poster, an official movie poster," Marc says.

Meanwhile, Nio Infante painted himself green not only to see The Hulk back in action, but to pay homage to Bruce Banner who he says best resonates his struggle with bipolar disorder.

"To me that kinda resonates with me because I think it's a reflection of my daily struggle with mental illness," Nio says.

"You have to try your hardest not to let it overcome you, not to let it on a superficial level, not to let it ruin your day." —Margaret Claire Layug/JST, GMA News
