You can potentially get matched with your secret crush through Facebook Dating
Pining away but scared to take the leap?
The solution might lie in Facebook Dating's latest feature, called "Secret Crush" — that is if you're lucky and your crush likes you back.
The in-app Dating feature in Facebook, newly launched in the Philippines and 18 countries today, mainly matches users with non-friends, and optionally friends of friends, who have also opted to use Facebook Dating.

But the Secret Crush feature gives users the option to list up to nine secret crushes among their friends. If their crush is also in Facebook Dating, they will receive a notification that someone has a crush on them. If they are not in Facebook Dating, they will never know they were listed as a Secret Crush.
And if it turns out that your Secret Crush has listed you as their Secret Crush in return — it's a match! Facebook Dating will then create a conversation for the match.

It's a low-key confession without the fear of rejection!
Charmaine Hung, Technical Program Manager for Facebook Dating, said that they rolled out this feature because sometimes, people might want to explore potential romantic relationships with people that are already in their extended group of friends.
"When we launched to some of our first few countries, we actually heard that you know we're actually leaving out a large portion of people you can actually form great relationships with," she said.
"You can actually say that there's just as high, or even higher chance for you to form a meaningful relationship with someone you already know. Because you're already close with them, you already trust each other, you know that you're compatible, the only thing missing is knowing if you're interested in being more than just friends," she said. — LA, GMA News
