Barkada from University of San Carlos passes, tops 2018 Bar Exams

A group of friends from the University of San Carlos - Law School in Cebu weren't only among the 1,800 who passed the 2018 Bar exams. They are more importantly, among the ten who topped it.

Included in the top 10 Bar finishers are Marcley Augustus Natu-el (2nd), Mark Lawrence Badayos (3rd), Jebb Lynus Cane (9th), and Alen Joel Pita (10th).

In an exclusive interview with Bam Alegre in Unang Balita, Natu-El and Pita shared their law school journey, going out and having drinks together but still managing to be productive in their studies.

"On the fun side po, kahit gumagala kami, nag-iinuman ganun, sometimes yung pulutan namin yung topics namin sa class. So parang productive pa rin po, kahit lasing na," Natu-El said.

He also said that their preparations for the bar actually started when they were mere freshmen.

Pita said they made studying law fun by sharing notes and discussing lessons together before classes started.

They also shared advice for those who are taking up law.

"Always remember and believe me when I say that hard work really pays off. If nahihirapan po tayo, always remember why I started law school, and then make sure you have a very good support system, your friends, your family," Natu-El said. — Jessica Bartolome/LA, GMA News
