Michael V. on the secret to long-lasting marriage: honesty

Comedian and director Michael V is celebrating 25 years of marriage with wife Carol this year and at the media conference of "Family History" Tuesday, he said there are only two things that help keep it alive: honesty and love.

"Honesty. 'Yung love talaga, 'yun kailangan hindi pwede mawala, 'yung lahat ng aspeto ng pagmamahalan dapat andoon," Bitoy said.

He also said that there should be an overall love and respect for and trust to each of the family member to have a healthy and happy family.

He said, "Ang nakita ko during the course ng pagiging family for more than 25 years eh 'yung hindi kailangan ng material things para maging masaya. The fact na magkakasama kayo, okay na."

Incidentally, Carol is also Michael V.'s manager, the person he credits for managing his time well so he's able to pursue several creative projects, among which is "Family History."

Bitoy not only directed the upcoming movie — his directorial debut! — but actually wrote and produced it as well.

According to Bitoy's vlog, he and his wife have been married four times already in the entire duration of their union.
