Claudine Barretto commemorates dad’s 40th day: ‘My worst nightmare came true’
Claudine Barretto took to Instagram to commemorate her father’s 40th day. Posting a selfie together, Claudine penned a short letter addressed to her dad Miguel who passed away on October 15.
“Dad my worst nightmare came true, I lost you,” read a portion of Claudine’s message.
“Slowly it’s been sinking in that you really are not without [sic] us anymore. I cannot explain the pain and emptiness I’m feeling,” she said.
In another post, Claudine shared a poem entitled “Dad” and admitted that she’s “been depressed lately but still standing.”
“Miss you daddy, visit me in my dreams,” Claudine said.

In the post, her older sister Gretchen commented, saying “I love you always.”
Claudine ended her series of posts with a video of her dad and daughter hugging. “The kids miss you terribly dad,” she captioned it.
The Barretto Patriarch passed away on October 15 after spending two weeks in the hospital. At his wake, the long-standing fight among his daughters was revived, and in the presence of President Rodrigo Duterte no less. — LA, GMA News
