10-year-old boy sells lumpia to help parents, finish school

While many of us are working from home, a 10-year-old boy in Ramos, Tarlac, sells homemade lumpia on foot just to help his family get by.

GMA News’ “Unang Balita” featured the hard work and dedication of young Benjamin Corpuz on Wednesday.

According to the report, Benjamin has been selling lumpiang toge since the first grade.

The 10-year-old is supposed to start Grade 4 this school year, but he opted to help his visually impaired mother make ends meet.

Despite his family’s current situation, Benjamin has high hopes of finishing school and one day fulfill his dream of becoming a soldier. – Margaret Claire Layug/RC, GMA News
