A 24-year-old Filipino from Bukidnon graduates from West Point with nuclear engineering degree

A 24-year-old Filipino from Kalilangan, Bukidnon just graduated with a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from the prestigious West Point - The US Military Academy.

Jesson Penaflor studied at the Mindanao State University in Marawi for three years before joining the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).

After finishing his plebe year at PMA, Jesson flew to the US to attend West Point, where he earned his degree in nuclear engineering after four years.

Jesson has a message to those who are seeking a path towards public service and serving the military.

"The biggest obstacle that you're gonna face if you take this path is you. If you overcome yourself, not even the devil can make you quit."
