Rachelle Ann Go and husband Martin Spies' London home has a 'conservatory'

It was a dream come true for Rachelle Ann Go to play Fantine in the West End production of "Les Miserables" in London.

But since curtains had to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the international stage theater actress was just very grateful to spend some quality time with her husband Martin Spies in their new London home.

"Ngayon lang talaga ako nagkaroon ng normal time with the husband, nagluluto dinner together, parang first time namin parang ngayon lang kami kinasal talaga," Rachel said during her morning kuwentuhan with GMA-7's "Unang Hirit."

Rachelle has been very hands-on in decorating their London home since moving in last February. She talked about how sweet Martin was for letting her do whatever she pleased.

"Actually nahahalo-halo 'yung gusto namin — 'yung gusto ko — nasusunod talaga 'yung wife ano?" Rachel said.

"Talagang gusto lang namin, very chill...Ang aming tema a very warm house, country house, gan'yan, rustic," she added.

Good Friday sunset ?? He was the light of the world. So when He died, it was the light of the world dying, sending to the earth, and disappearing. It was the sunset... The sunset of this world, the sunset of the old life. The moment the sun goes down, the day is over, the old day, the old world, our old life is over. Whatever happened in that life now belongs to the past. The events of our old lives now belong to yesterday. The mistakes of our lives, the problems, the sins, the fears, shame, the guilt, they belong to that which is no more. The sun has set on the old. The sun has set on your past, on your sins, on your shame, on the person you once were. And so it all belongs to yesterday. And for all who will let the sun set on their old life, for all who will die to the old, in the sunset of Messiah, the old has passed away. For those who embrace the sunset, ... will rise in the dawn of the new day. -The Book of Mysteries #sunset #GoodFriday

Rachel also gave Kapuso viewers a closer look at a charming part of their house called a "conservatory."

"This is one of my favorite spots, 'yung conservatory namin. We spend our afternoon here, reading, building quality time with the husband," she said.

The West End production of "Les Miserables" was set to open last March, but theaters all over the world were closed in the hope of arresting the spread of COVID-19.

Rachel shared how excited she was to play Fantine, which was her "dream role."

"I got back here around February, tapos diretso na akong rehearsal for 'Les Miserables.' I only had three days of rehearsals. Diretso na ko. We opened on March 2, soon after 2 weeks nagsarado na," Rachel said.

"Dream come true talaga, 'nung first time kong napanuod 'yun —  Actually kin-laim ko 'yun —  when I saw Fantine, sabi ko, 'That's the role I'm gonna do," she added.

"So talagang dream come true talaga for me and its just sad, you know, that this pandemic happened. We had to close the show, at hindi lang Les Miz — lahat ng shows actually sa West End and even on Broadway, so its really sad, of course, for a lot of people," she said.
