Megan and Mikael say having sad moments in their relationship make them appreciate happy days more

On the latest episode of their podcast "Behind Relationship Goals," Megan Young and Mikael Daez talked about several topics surrounding making moves in relationships.

Amid their conversation, they talked about how having down moments in their relationship make them appreciate their happy days more.

"That's kind of what life is to me. It's a bunch of ups and downs and you need to know that," Mikael said.

"It's never going to be all happy for sure and it's never gonna be all sad," Megan said.

Megan said that other people would say that, "if you're life is all happy, it kinda gets boring or parang you don't get to appreciate the happiness that you get because you don't have the downs to compare it with."

Mikael agreed and said, "life is an adventure it goes up and down because if this is a straight line in happiness then there is no adventure."

The Miss World 2013 said what makes their relationship fun is that they "definitely have a rollercoaster of emotions."

"We've had super happy times we've also had meh times and we've had really sad and challenging moments also but if we didn't had those challenging moments then our happy moments wouldn't feel as happy. It wouldn't feel as fulfilling," Megan said.

However, Mikael said it's always best to hope that you stay more on the "higher end the happier end of the spectrum because other people go on the lower and the highs aren't as high."

"It does happen. I guess the goal is to have ups and downs and the happier end of life in that spectrum," he added. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
