Tekla says operation of his son Baby Angelo a success

Comedian Tekla is now back in full, fun, work mode after the successful operation of his son, baby Angelo, due to anorectal malformation.

Tekla said it had been more than a month since baby Angelo was brought home from the hospital, according to a Chika Minute report by Nelson Canlas on GMA News "24 Oras" on Wednesday.

"Okay naman siya, sobrang likot at ang lakas dumede. Tapos napakaganda ng response niya, 'yung psychomotor niya ang bilis," said "The Boobay and Tekla Show" cohost.

"Nakakatuwa lang kasi napaka-positive ng mga response ni Angelo, kasi nalagpasan niya na lahat halos eh. Ito na lang 'yung stage na nagre-response siya, nasisilawan siya pagka may biglang ilaw na malakas. Tapos magugulatin. Ibig sabihin, everything is normal," Tekla added.

Baby Angelo was born last June, but had anorectal malformation, a birth defect where the baby's anus and rectum did not develop properly.

"Wowowin" host Willie Revillame offered financial help to Super Tekla.

Kapuso artists Ken Chan, Glaiza de Catro, Julie Ann San Jose, and more also came together to hold an online benefit concert to raise funds for Baby Angelo's surgery. – Jamil Santos/RC, GMA News
