In Tuguegarao City, animals were among those rescued by the PCG
In its rescue operations in Tuguegarao City, the Philippine Coast Guard made sure no one was left behind — including animals.
In a Facebook post Saturday, the PCG showed photos of its personnel rescuing a dog and a goat that were left behind by their humans amid the raging flood.
According to the post, the animals were put in an aluminium boat to be brought to the nearest evacuation centre.

Due to the heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Ulysses, Cagayan experienced what Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba calls the worst flood the province has experienced since 1975.
According to Tuguegarao Mayor Jefferson Soriano on Saturday, 40 out of 49 barangays in the city were still inundated by flooding.
