Twins from Surigao del Sur pass Physician Licensure Exams at the same time

Twin sisters from Surigao del Sur just took the whole "twins do everything together" to a whole new level.

Charlaine and Charmaine Bautista from didn't just finish the same medical technology course and go to the same medicine school, they also passed the Physician Licensure Examination at the same time!

The twins studied medicine at the Silliman University and in 2014, they both passed the medical technologist licensure exam with the same rating.

Charlaine said it is a blessing to have a sister who is always there for her and understood the hardships she encountered in the field of medicine.

"Since we've been away from home pursuing Medicine for 10 years already, we desire to give back to our hometown Bislig City, Surigao del Sur by working as general physicians for about a year. After that, Lord willing, we will apply for residency training to further hone our skills and knowledge," said the pair.

The two said that to be a doctor amid the pandemic has become a big responsibility and hope that others will do their part in fighting the coronavirus.

"Simply doing hand washing, wearing of face mask, and staying at home make a big difference. This battle is not just every health care worker's battle, but every Filipino's battle," they said.

The results for the 2020 Physician Licensure Exam was released on Thursday.
