Ice Seguerra shares grief on first Christmas without dad: ‘Akala ko aabot siya ng Pasko’

Ice Seguerra has expressed his grief on his first Christmas without his father Decoroso “Dick” Seguerra.

Sharing photos of his family with his late dad on Instagram, Friday, the singer said: “Mula bata hanggang ngayon, walang paskong dumaan na hindi kami magkakasama lahat. Maraming masayang pasko, meron ding malungkot. Pero okay lang kasi magkakasama kami.”

Even after he got married, Ice said that they would always have Noche Buena with the whole family.

“But it’s different now,” he said. “Sa totoo lang, akala ko aabot siya ng pasko. Kaso, hindi ganon yung nangyari.”

Although Ice said he knew his dad was always with him, he couldn’t help but miss him.

“Miss ko ’yung mga malulutong na pa bente pesos niya. Yung pagkanta niya ng bidyoke. Kahit tulog lang siya sa couch habang naghihintay ng noche buena ... miss ko yun. Miss ko siya,” Ice said.

“It’s never the same. And it will never be the same. Laging may kulang, kahit ano pa ang gawin mo para punuan yun,” he added.

Ice then urged his followers to cherish their loved ones, especially their family and parents.

“Sila ang pasko. Hindi ang mga regalo o kung ano pa man,” Ice said.
