Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes surprise their household staff with bike, laptop, groceries

Ate Glenda, Kuya Jhun, and Ate Cecile have all been outstanding members of the Dantes family for several years now.

So as a token of gratitude for their hard work and sacrifice, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes threw a special "Christmas party" at home, just for them.

In a heartwarming episode of their mini-series "Jose at Maria," the Kapuso primetime couple prepared an entire program filled with games, gifts, and exciting prizes that they hoped would help their beloved staff members in their daily lives.

In the video, we meet Ate Glenda: A kind and loving woman who has been helping the couple care for their eldest child Zia for almost five years.

Dingdong hosted a game of easy family trivia, and Ate Glenda knew them so well that she won a new bike, which she was determined to give to her family.

We also get to know Kuya Jhun, a father of six who has known the Dantes family for 17 years.

Kuya Jhun was the big winner of brand new a laptop with a wi-fi connection after being voted the "most deserving" by the two other contestants.

"Napakalaking bagay. Anim!" he said.

And last but not least, we meet Ate Cecile, who expressed great admiration for the DongYan couple's kindness off and on-screen.

Of course, Marian and Dingdong were not going to let anybody go home empty-handed.

The couple gave Ate Glenda, Ate Cecile, and Kuya Jhun all the groceries they can carry to help them jumpstart their own sari-sari store to help them make extra income amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

—Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
